During the summer, it can be difficult to get out with our pets here. It’s so hot and humid that we tend to stay indoors most of the time unless we are in the pool. Keeping your dogs cool is so important. As they’re covered in a thick coat of fur, they usually feel the heat a lot more than we do. Whilst outdoors may be off-limits in the sun, there are things we can do inside that can keep our dogs cool. One of the best ways to keep your dog from overheating is by installing an air conditioning unit inside the house. No matter where you live, you should be able to get air conditioning installed. For example, those in Houston TX could always call out a company like Indoor Comfort Specialists. That should help the dog to stay indoors comfortably. The sun can be dangerous, so make sure your house is cool enough to keep the dog inside. Additionally, I’ve been told that using a cooling mat is a different way to keep your dog cool if you don’t have a pool so it’s worth checking that option. However, Sophie has so much energy that she needs to spend or else she goes nuts in the house. We try to keep her as active as possible while keeping her cool at the same time.Continue Reading

When we decided to get a dog, we knew we wanted a Boxer. Our neighbors had a Boxer and he was amazing with our little guy when he was born. We would spend a lot of time at each other’s homes and Cooper would always come over to make sure he was alright whenever he cried. It was the sweetest thing and I just knew this was the breed for us. We were a little worried before we decided to get our little guy. We had a friend who also had a boxer, but her dog sadly passed away from cancer. When we decided to bring our dog home, she suggested that we look into cbd for dog cancer just in case it happened to us. I’ve decided to put it on the back burner just in case, but for now, we just want to enjoy our new puppy. Continue Reading
Get ready for the Holidays with BISSELL and BISSELL ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Giveaway
I am cringing just thinking about all the company we will have over the next couple months. My house definitely isn’t in order and the couches are so embarrassing. Between having a 6 year old and a 3 year old, things can get pretty messy around here. Add a 70lb. Boxer to that equation and you have a disaster zone! As you can imagine, our armory of cleaning supplies needs to be able to handle all this, so we need to make decisions on things like whether we opt for a stick or an upright vacuum (https://allgreatvacuums.com/stick-vs-upright-vacuum/) and many other considerations.
We allow the kids to eat in the living room, but I have to say that they really aren’t that messy. Most of the spots and stains on the couch are a result of Sophie either drooling or continuously licking her big ol’ paws. And possibly coming in from outside with wet paws from either the rain or pool deck.
Our couches, while they may be old, have the potential to be new again. Time and time again, I have used my BISSELL carpet cleaner (previous model) and they look amazing. When we were offered a chance to try out BISSELL’s ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet, I just couldn’t say no! I am so excited to tell you about how it worked for us and give you a chance to win a BISSELL product bundle as well!
BISSELL’s ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet takes the hassle out of deep cleaning. When it comes to tackling everyday messes, either from the kids or the fur babies, most are often challenged with choosing between a quick refresh or a deep clean based on their time constraints.
The BISSELL ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet offers multiple cleaning modes, combining dual DirtLifter brushes with heated cleaning and powerful suction for a solid deep-down clean. It also comes with BISSELL Deep Clean + Antibacterial formula, which deep cleans and controls odor-causing bacteria. Great for homes with dogs, like ours…
With a lightweight design and low-profile foot, weighing only 18 pounds, the ProHeat 2x Revolution Pet allows for easy maneuverability when cleaning carpets. The Dual Powerbrushes feature 12 total cleaning rows for a deep down clean along with two different cleaning modes, an express clean mode and deep clean mode which delivers professional-style results when used in conjunction with the BISSELL Professional Formulas. My friend raves about this too, so when she needs a good clean of her carpet, she’ll ONLY use this and Melbourne Carpet Cleaning companies like blackgoldcarpetcleaning.com.au, because she knows exactly what she’s getting then.
Big difference, right? Check out the BISSELL ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Here!
BISSELL is giving away two product bundles which include a BISSELL ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet ($199.80 value) and BISSELL Deep Clean + Antibacterial formula!! Two winners will be chosen at random.

National Dog Day with BarkBox
It’s National Dog Day and I rewarded Sophie with her very first BarkBox! BarkBox is a monthly subscription box for dogs that includes lots of goodies for your fur baby, tailored to his/her size. Each box usually includes treats, a chew and a toy. Each month, Bark Box chooses toys, healthy treats, and toys that are sure to keep your pup entertained. Should you want to entertain your dog more frequently than once a month, you may also want to look at the likes of different DogeToys toy review articles so you’re able to keep up to date with everything new that your dog could enjoy around the home, garden or on a walk. You can have a little look at the treat selection as different treats can be more suitable for different dogs. For example, if your dog is a border collie/pitbull mix, a more meaty treat would be suitable rather than a corn based treat (source).
The boxes depend on the size of your dog and since Sophie is over 50lbs., she received the Big & Bold box. Each BarkBox is $29 a month, or $19 a month with a 12 month subscription. You can also add an additional premium toy for an additional $9 per box.
