Floating Heart Mobile
Wow! It feels so good to finally get things going on the blog again. I had a freak accident that took me off of my feet for over six weeks, but with the help of my hubby and amazing friends, I am well on my way to getting back to my old self. Being stuck on the couch for over 6 weeks was a long road, but I am so happy to finally be walking again and getting back to our routine. However, with my time off, I was able to do a bit of planning for some new designs and create some pretty nifty holiday crafts. I’ve planned my valentine’s crafts, mother’s day creations and even some Easter embroidery designs so keep your eyes peeled for new crafts coming soon!
The Holiday’s came and went in the blink of an eye and I felt terrible that I wasn’t able to post anything for you all during that time. So as soon as I felt the least bit up to par, I started planning for Valentine’s Day. I finally had a chance to go out on my own the other night and I can’t even explain the feeling I felt when I walked into the craft store. It was a bit overwhelming and so many ideas came to mind. I literally wanted to buy the whole store.Continue Reading

Myself and the kids really look forward to celebrating Father’s Day each year. Although we show Dad how much we love him year round, we really do our best to go over the top for that special day.Continue Reading
Pineapple Flower Pots
Summer is right around the corner and we couldn’t be happier. It’s time for some fun in the sun! This summer, I plan to create a bucket list for our family with lots of fun, games, crafts and more. The trend this year seems to be fruit and citrus, so I said to myself; “why not make some fruit flower pots?”.Continue Reading
Mother’s Day DIY Flower Frame
Are you looking for a quick and simple DIY Mother’s Day idea? Well, look no further than this beautiful flower frame.
As I tossed and turned the other night, I felt the craft bug creep into my system. I was literally thinking about what to make for National Donut Day and all of a sudden, this idea sparked. And let me just say, I’m so glad it did because it came out super cute!
Being a Mom is hard work. We are alarm clocks, nurses, referees, housekeepers, taxis, counselors and the list goes on! In my book, it’s Mother’s Day every day. But when Mother’s Day rolls around and you realize you have less than a week to find something to give, the going gets tough!Continue Reading
Butterfly Clothespin Craft for Kids and Orkin Mosquito Summer Scientist Giveaway
This is a sponsored post on behalf of Orkin. All opinions and views are my own.
Summer is almost here! It’s so close, I can smell it and Bunbun and I are counting down the days. It’s been a rather rough school year and both of us are just about ready for it to be done. With that said, we’re ready for some fun and new beginnings. Summer for us brings lots of friends, crafts, swimming, BBQ’s, soccer training camp and lots of outdoor fun!
The one thing that always seems to get us in the summer is mosquitoes! They are annoying little creatures that seem to always find us. Bunbun has some pretty bad reactions to mosquito bites so we always have to be on top of the situation. Fortunately, the experts at Orkin study the science of mosquitoes and other pests closely in order to better tailor plans that help keep them out of our homes this summer.Continue Reading
Love Monster Valentine’s Day Craft
One of our favorite books to read for Valentine’s Day is Love Monster by Rachel Bright. It’s such a cute picture book to read aloud with your littles and I’m here to share an adorable craft to go along with it.

A Witching Good Night Glow Stick Tags
I have been sucked into the vortex of Halloween multiple times this week. I have literally stocked up on decorations I don’t need and decorated the house more than a month in advance. Some may think I’m on a roll, but my husband thinks I’m nuts! While on a shop this week at my local Target, the Dollar Spot ever so softly whispered my name. I couldn’t believe how much they had for Halloween in that section! I think I spent about $55 in that area alone. But who’s counting?

Savings at Publix: Back to School Superhero Snack Station
Week two of first grade brought homework. And lot’s of it! Bunbun has 10 spelling words, reading homework and a cute little about me poster project to complete. Last week, I purchased a new desk for myself and gave her my old one. I set her up with a little writing/art station using a bin I had purchased a while back. I took advantage of the back to school Savings at Publix and stocked up on some crayons, markers, colored pencils, glue sticks and scissors as well. I added scrap paper to another compartment and voila! Bunbun loves her new little set-up and it allows her to be creative with no restrictions on art mediums.

Easy Clothespin Princess Dolls
Summer has been quite the struggle (insert sigh). We ended up keeping Bunbun home and ditching the camp this year. It’s really been great having both kids home and spending time with them, but it’s been super difficult to keep her busy. My little guy is so easy going for being only three. He will find something to keep himself busy in any situation; Bunbun always wants something to do. A craft, a game, a movie, swimming…something! She just has to be busy. She loves to collect things and is currently into the Shopkins craze, which is probably going to make me broke very soon.
