In our home, we are always looking for a twist on snacks. Having the same thing over and over can get boring and sometimes, you need to add some flair to make things fun and interesting. Kids love a good surprise and Halloween is an excellent time to add some flair to their snacks. You can take the snacks they love and make them spook-tacular or build your own together. Today, I am going to show you how you can mummify a snack cup and make a tasty Halloween treat!
My kids have been so excited for Halloween. They’ve helped decorate the house inside and out, filled treat bags and colored some pretty interesting pictures. We’ve made a few recipes together and they just don’t want to stop! I knew this would be a great project for them to help with, because it is so quick and simple. They especially loved the decorating and just had so much fun working on it.
We started out at Wal-Mart and grabbed a few Nabisco Go-Paks!, which are located in the front of the store, at the checkout lanes or in big bins. I love how accessible these are and we never forget to grab a few on our way out. We then headed over to the baking aisle, picked up a couple Snack Pack® Pudding Cups in a chocolate/vanilla variety and finally, a can of Reddi-Wip Original; located in the refrigerated section, near the milk.
I knew we would be turning the Go-Paks! into Mummies so I stopped in the pharmacy department for a box of rolled gauze. Using a roll of gauze and my handy glue gun, I began wrapping each GO-PAKS! in multiple layers with my little ones. We stuck on some googly eyes, cut a piece of silver glitter washi tape into an oval to create a little mouth and placed it on. They are just so cute! And the best part; after you finish eating, you can clean it out and re-purpose it as a Halloween decoration or even a crayon holder for the kids! The possibilities are endless with GO-PAKS!
Ingredients
- 1 Nabisco GO-PAK!, OREO Glden Sandwich Cookies
- 1 Nabisco GO-PAK!,OREO Chocolate Sandwich Cookies
- 4 Snack Pack® Puddings, Chocolate
- 4 Snack Pack® Puddings, Vanilla
- 1 can, Reddi Wip Original
Directions
- Empty contents of one Nabisco GO-PAK! into a small bowl.
- Break or crush OREOS and spoon into bottom of your mummified Nabisco GO-PAK!
- Place chocolate or vanilla pudding on top
- Layer to top, alternating between your OREOS and Pudding, until slightly below the rim of the Nabisco GO-PAK!
- Top with Reddi Wip and crushed OREOS
- Enjoy!
